Chief of Party, Lebanon

We are currently seeking a long-term Chief of Party for an upcoming multiyear program in Lebanon. The project aims to increase private enterprise growth and investment while increasing agricultural productivity in various value chains and industries, including dairy, olives and horticulture. The position is contingent upon ACDI/VOCA being awarded the program.

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership in one or more key areas of focus for the program.
• Supervise all international consultants and local project staff.
• Ensure quality control and timeliness of all deliverables.
• Prepare work plans as well as financial, logistical and other documents.
• Review all financial and logistical information on a periodic basis.
• Conduct value chain analyses of various agricultural value chains and continuously tailor project interventions to the changing dynamics.
• Work with the project's value chain specialists to tailor the training and technical assistance needs.
• Deliver technical assistance to program beneficiaries along various agricultural value chains to increase/improve productivity.
• Coordinate communication among various actors along the value chain to improve the flow of market information.
• Facilitate the development of sustainable public-private partnerships and private sector investment in various value chains

 

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in business, agribusiness, agricultural economics or related field from an accredited university is required.
• Minimum 10 years of professional work experience in economic growth and development in a supervisory role.
• Minimum of five years' experience managing a for-profit enterprise.
• Excellent IT and communication skills.
• Knowledge of regional and international trade policy.
• Working experience in Lebanon or in the region is highly desired.
• Fluent English required; French and/or Arabic desired.
